Printed fabrics

Every interior is unique, and entrepreneurs are also becoming increasingly creative. As a furniture supplier, you cannot stand still of course. In fact, by thinking ahead about the possibilities in the field of furniture and upholstery, we hope to inspire creatives to think beyond the obvious. This in turn inspires us to further develop our collection. An important part of our offer is our fabric collection, especially our (printed) house collection.

Print fabrics

The in-house collection of fabrics is put together with great care and is intended to last a long time. A balance between trends and basics is therefore very important. We also create our own print fabrics with prints and colours that we think fit in with today's interiors. We have added a number of standard patterns to our house collection. You can also have your own pattern printed on fabric. You can even choose to print your own colour.

Sublimation

New technologies make it possible to use special heat-sensitive inks in combination with digital printers. In the sublimation process, the ink binds to the polyester fabric. Unlike, for example, printing on cotton, the colour is not applied to the fibre, but high temperature and pressure ensure that the special ink adheres to the fibre. A substantial difference with enormous advantages. The printed fabric can then be further modified. For example, various finishes can be applied to make the fabric antibacterial, fire retardant or dirt- and water-repellent.

Infinite possibilities

Printing on fabrics is not new, but the application of digital techniques in combination with sublimation printing creates a whole new dimension in printing on fabrics. The possibilities are endless. With this technique, we can personalise fabrics completely as you wish and apply it to a large part of our collection of chairs and sofas.

Creating a print fabric

It is possible to print your own pattern or colour on seven different fabrics. This is in line with the increasing demand for personalising products. A swatch can be produced from a chosen RAL colour or a submitted colour swatch. To have your own pattern printed, a seamless pattern can be sent in (for example from Shutterstock.com). Additional notes
Almost all fabrics can be provided with a dirt- and water-repellent finish. On request and from 100 metres, the fabrics can be made fire-retardant at an additional cost. The minimum order for the fabrics is 40 metres. It is possible to print multiple patterns or uni colours on 1 roll to meet your metrage.

Sample request

Together with the account manager and/or someone from our design team, we work on delivering the sample request. What exactly do you need for this?

  1. Provide a RAL number, a reference swatch of a colour or a seamless vector file
  2. Choose a fabric on which to print the pattern
  3. An A4 swatch with pattern will be sent for approval

File delivery

The delivery of a file must comply with a number of points.

  • Vector file, image or 1 report is sufficient
  • Make sure the size of the report or image is in the file name
  • The document must be .AI or .PDF, preferably both
  • The report must be seamless

Good to know

  • At 180 degrees the fibres of the fabric open and at 205 degrees the dye is applied
  • The lightfastness of the ink is around 5 on a scale of 1 (bad) to 8 (excellent)
  • For 30 metres of fabric, you also need 30 metres of paper, so this is equivalent
  • The calander can produce up to 4 metres per minute
  • The calander could print 5,760 metres of fabric if it was on for 24 hours (4 x 60 min x 24 hours). In the most ideal situation, 1500 metres of fabric can be printed per working day
